Budget Travel - Tiger: 150,000 seats to/from SIN for $0

Tiger (http://www.tigerairways.com) just launched a promotion: 150,000 seats to/from Singapore for $0 (http://www.tigerairways.com/sg/en/real_deals.php), sales period from today to 25 Mar 09, for travel between 01 Apr 09 and 24 Oct 09. This translates to from anywhere from S$25 (KUL, KCH) to S$175 (PER) one-way once all taxes and various bogus surcharges are added in.

A word of caution though: Tiger's "taxes" tend to be quite a bit higher than the competition. For example, for SIN-MFM-SIN, they want S$210 in tax and charges, vs. just S$98 for exactly the same trip in JetStar.

There are some good deals to be had amongst the taxes and surcharges.

Thanks for posting. These guys really take the cake with their "breakdown" of taxes, fees and charges simply saying "Taxes, Fees & Charges". They're hiding a lot of airline-imposed surcharge that's key to profits in with the "real" taxes.
