I use Sebastian's Aerogel (http://www.sleekhair.com/10306.html) and can't for the life of me figure out if it will be okay as a carry-on item (in my cute little kippie bag, of course).

Reasons I think it's allowed:
TSA's page on 3-1-1 about carry-ons (http://www.tsa.gov/311/311-carry-ons.shtm) shows an image of an aerosol can in the kippie bag (http://www.tsa.gov/graphics/images/bag_dimensions.jpg).

Same page says, "All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers." and

"All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag." (emphasis mine)

Reason I'm not sure:

The funky wording on the Prohibited (http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm#9)items page makes me worry.

There's more "Go Ahead and carry it!" stuff than denial stuff, so I thought I would ask for direct FT input.

If you travel with aerosols, have you had issues with TSA considering your aerosol a banned item, particularly at SEA and SFO?

Thanks!

I've traveled several times with the Evian spray (http://www.shopevian.com/p-21-brumisateur-facial-spray-50ml.aspx) in my kippie bag and have never had a word said to me about it. Only water, but technically an aerosol. I would guess the travel size shaving creams are considered much the same. Never had trouble with those either. Haven't been through SEA, but have been through SFO several times with both.

Stick in your kippie and you'll be fine

Cool. It's the only thing I've found that I like and I don't want to worry about trying to find some in San Francisco next week. :)
