Budget Travel - Looking for an agency like the original Suntrips in California

I'm from the East Coast, but used the original Suntrips several times, and got great deals. I used frequent flyer miles twice to fly to California, and then used them for a Hawaii package.
I also used them for land only rates for a Mexico all inclusive. So since they went out of business in 2006, I have been doing trips to either Florida or Arizona, without using package deals, because there haven't been any great package deals for families in July. The economy had been so good, I guess they really didn't have to discount the popular destinations in the summer.
But I'm thinking of doing a summer vacation to Hawaii, or possibly Mexico, and am looking to see who is the best California agency since Suntrips went out of business. Did any similar type of company fill the void on the West Coast? We are pretty much stuck with Apple Vacations on the East Coast, and I don't much of them to say the least.

You might check if Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays are still in business. They seemed to be Suntrips major competitor in the Bay Area over the years.

Thanks.
One thing I forgot to add to the original post, does anyone know of any site that shows the picture or PDF of the travel ads from major newspapers, (usually the Sunday paper), from the big travel markets in California?
I've seen this done on a few travel sites in the past.
