I live in the Orlando area and have been debating which property we want to do a 3 night get-away within driving distance in April. I've got a 13 yr old son, so we're looking to keep him entertained while my wife and I kick back...

We've been to Swan/Dolphin, Four Point Cocoa Beach, Sheraton Sandkey and we are looking for something new.

Any suggestions?

I know you say resort so the most popular responses will be Singer Island or Westin Diplomat.

As search using the word "Florida" brings up some good threads, such as:

You kids know I love (funny ha-ha) sarcasm as much as the next smart@ss, but just seeing/reading the words "Four Points Miami Beach" makes me break out in hives. Ick!

Its been a couple years since I have stayed at this hotel and were give a top floor suite, but still my wife and friends wanted to murder me after staying at the South Beach Marriott several times because this place was so much cheaper in points Cat 3 back then.

Safe to say a lot of people me included will be glad to pay 20k a nite for the cat 6 when the W South Beach opens in the next couple of months.. Was there Feb 25th and they have a ways to go with both the boardwalk and the sidewalk on Collins blocked off...
