Is there a quick way to check if an outage is on my end or the ISP's end?

Their support phones lines are down as is their website, so I'm guessing it's on their end, but I'd like to verify.

FWIW, I'm talking about XO Comm in this particular instance.

tracert?

The lights on your modem will indicate which side it's on. I've got DSL, and when the ATM light on the modem goes orange or blinks orange, it's the phone company side. If it's the Ethernet light that off, it's on my side. If you don't have the manual to tell you which light does which (assuming you have lights) you can usually google it to see.

Lights are always good. You can also ping your way outbound one step at a time to isolate this. Ping the loopback address, then your address, then the default gateway, their outside interface on the box they gave, then the first device on their side of the connection.
