Korea - Early May: Beijing or Seoul?View Full Version : Early May: Beijing or Seoul? hairpeace Mar 17, 09, 6:47 pm Originating in IAD and staying just three or four days - which would be better? Thanks :) Jamoldo Mar 17, 09, 7:40 pm What do you want to do? bp888 Mar 17, 09, 9:09 pm Beijing. No brainer. Jamoldo Mar 17, 09, 9:44 pm I think it really depends on what the OP wants to do. While I used to live in Beijing and am therefore biased, I've been to Seoul (only once) and thought it was a fantastic and interesting city. History, culture, hiking, eating Chinese food -- Beijing Shopping, some sightseeing, relaxing, partying, eating Korean food -- Seoul. Of course one can do either of the activities above in the other city, but its just my take from a 60000 ft top down view. I am sure I've opened a can of worms, but although I love Beijing, if the OP wants to be a bit more relaxed on the three-four days, Seoul might be a better option. Its easier to get around and transport IMO, is more efficient (both assuming he/she does not speak Mandarin or Korean). hairpeace Mar 19, 09, 6:13 am Beijing.
