Air New Zealand Air Points - Security Check Domestic Flights

In two weeks I will be flying WLG to ZQN (on a ATR 72). Are aircraft less than 90 seats still exempt from security checks at the gate or has this been changed in light of the new government recommendations? Am taking along a bottle of good wine as a gift and would rather not risk checking it if I don't have to.

Regardless of whether the flight is an ATR 72, D8-300Q or 737-300 you will be fine with the wine as liquids, aeresol and gel (LAG) restrictions only aply to international flights not domestic flights.^
