If I remember correctly: As an Amex Hhonors card holder, you are automatically upgraded to Silver Status as long as you have the card. And if you spend $20K on the card within a calendar year, you will be upgraded to Gold status for the next year.
So, after 4 qualifying stays you will get Gold. I guess it's the Gold status that the OP is after. Thanks anyway.

All qualifying stays must occur within 90 days of enrolling and must be paid for by a Savings at Work-eligible American Express Corporate Card. Offer available only for Savings at Work-eliglible cardmembers and is not transferable.
