Starwood Preferred Guest - Postcards? A membership card and POSTCARDS?

What happened to the good old days? A Zagat Membership, 1/2 off points vacation???? I'm happy with the $75, beggers can't be choosers, but come on. What the heck to do I want the post cards for? I go enough places that I don't need to send those to my family to act like I'm there! (plus they would see the USPS MICHIGAN stamp, so they'd know I was up to something! Come on SPG, don't regress your program so much!

I've been platinum for 5 years now and yes (as I'm looking at the floor sheepishly), I will continue staying at Sheratons for the foreseeable future.
