I currently have an Amex Delta Skymiles card that gives me 10,000 miles that count towards Medallion status if I spend >$25 annually. Are there other credit cards for other FF programs that grant miles which also qualify towards elite status?
The USAirways Visa is giving 10,000 miles towards elite status when you spend $25k in the year and triple elite miles on flights through 6/04.

There was just a discussion on this somewhere else that I cannot find through the search right now...maybe someone else can find the link. That thread has some very good informational bits that cover this topic thoroughly.

AA counts all miles towards their million mile (lifetime gold) and two million mile (lifetime platinum) status. Just ask Pudding Guy.

Hilton and Marriot VISA cardholders get elite status in their respective programs -- no minimum purchase required.

The HHonors pts. that I earn on my CitiBank HHonors VISA are not posted as 'Base Pts' which, to my knowledge are the only Pts considered when qualifying for status in the program.

ptsailor, I believe what Boraxo means is that you get complimentary elite status for one year when you sign up for the credit card. After that, you're on your own to reach the requirements for elite via hotel stays.
