Other than redeeming Asia Miles for tickets, is there any other practical use for Asia Miles, such as flying specific airline (like Cathay Pacific) for elite classes and get better choices seats or upgrades (similar to United Mileage Plus, Premier & 1K class which allow online selection seats with seat maps at booking)?
I read the Asia Miles web site carefully and found they purposely do not offer any specific airline with elite class options. This Asia Miles Program does not offer any options to transfer points out or in from other Mileage programs. Or, I misunderstood this program? Is this program a creation of Cathay Pacific, for any particular reason?
