I am wondering about renting a car in both Malaga, Spain and Zurich, Switzerland next week. Is Priceline Europe the web site to get cheapest car rentals from reputable car rental agencies? How does Priceline Europe compare with Priceline USA?

If you mean www.priceline.co.uk, it's hotels only for the name-your-own-price service. They did try flights and car hire but gave up.
I just tried a dummy booking for Zurich at www.priceline.com and it seems the name-your-own-price offer isn't available there either.
Good luck.

Priceline only offers name-your-own-price car rentals for two countries, namely the USA and Canada.

Here is the web site link to priceline Europe.

Of course, I agree with the previous poster - for the European priceline, the prices are preset. But maybe the car rental/car hire prices with priceline Europe are cheaper than if one went to other web sites (car rental companies, travel web site etc).
My question of my first post still stands.
Priceline uses Autoeurope - they have excellent and very specific prices. They describe the exact car, including brand and model, and prices really jump around constantly. So keep your eyes on it - look for specials within the list and check back. The agency is not revealed until you book. Big name companies come up as in Priceline US.

That website does not offer the name-your-own-price service and operates as a conventional booking service. You'll need to compare. My question of my first post still stands. As do the responses. I guess you've got the best info by now.
Wow, talk about sticker shock...
An SUV from Hertz in AGP came up as $543 per day on a priceline search I just did!:eek::eek:

Let that be a lesson. Why would you need an SUV? You'll get a good deal on a sedan with manual transmission - and you will be in harmony with others. You could also get a wagon... Autoeurope is reasonable on those models.

I didn't, but I just thought it was funny 1) there would even be an SUV available, and 2) the exorbitantly high price.

Malaga is one of the busiest places in Europe for car rental, and certainly has the biggest on-airport garage I've ever rented from. They will have pretty much everything that's smaller than a Scania, and they'll price the higher categories with price-insensitive customers (think Russian and Saudi business owners, the main non-package-tourist visitors of the area) in mind.
Nothing surprising.
