Religious Travelers - mid-pesach meal on CO ex-TLV with child

Hi,
We are leaving Israel on hol ha moed. I know that all meals will be kosher for passover, but the reservation states that no special meal is available for that flight. (We ordered our 1 year old a child's meal for the flight in out of EWR...)

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with what I ought to expect in the meal so I can figure out to what extent I will need to bring my own stuff for him to eat. (He's not likely to be very interested in the random "beef in sloppy salty sauce" that usually comes in the standard meal. The kids' meal chicken nuggets or pizza or whatever is much more up his alley.)

I am not 100% sure of this, but I have heard that CO only have one type of kosher meals on their ex-TLV flights, and these are produced by Hamasbia under the supervision of the Badatz Eida Chareidit. I would check with CO's reservations what they mean by 'no special meal is available for that flight'.

Thanks for the tips. What I understand from them is literally that -- NO special meal available - no child's meal, no vegetarian, no low-fat, nothing. There is just ONE meal type (which maybe a couple of entree choices), take it or leave it. That's what they told me.

I am not necessarily interested in the kashrut level of the meal or anything, but I am interested in knowing what is likely to be IN the meal so I can predict whether or not my son is likely to be willing (or able) to eat it.

I havent out of TLV during Yom Tov but I have the day after 9which is still Yom Tov for non-Israelis and still was served a Pesach meal, as I have gotten a Pesach meal as well when flying out of The US the day after as well.

CO used to have 2 KSMLs 1 reg kosher and the other Glatt(Hamasbia). I cant see CO or ElAl not having Glatt meals for those flying during Pesach, unless Hamasbia doesnt produce Pesach meals which I dont believe is the case.

Since CO has its own employees in Israel and not rent a crew. Id say call COs 800# here and ask for their Tel Aviv office #, Im sure they will know the score. BTW closed early Fri and Sat , open reg on Sun and right now TLV is 7 hrs ahead of NY time wise.

I have had issues leaving Israel on CO flights. The USA version of Kosher is not necessarily the Mehadrin. I would strongly advise you to call the ISRAEL Continental office to ensure receipt of the proper meal.

We are also flying during Chol HaMoel (not CO), maybe we'll bump into each other in TLV :p

I would definitely take your own food for the baby. Why would you take a chance, even if the airline absolutely 100 per cent confirms that it'll all be OK on the night?
