JetBlue TrueBlue - 40 minute layover JFK?

The JetBlue website gives me an itinerary with only a 40 minute layover. Has anyone had any experience with such a quick change at that terminal? I will be checking bags. Thanks for any help.

What time of day and where are you coming in from?

If your inbound flight is on-time, then you'll have ample time to make your connection. However, especially a JFK, that's a big IF.

We'd be changing around 7:30 AM, coming from PWM.

Morning flights are much more likely to be on time then the afternoon flights. Since you have a 730 am flight, most likely your plane came in the night before so you should be fine . I would not try to make an 40 minute plane connection on any airline in NYC in the afternoon.

First flight out of PWM you should be fine.

I would suggest selecting seats as far to the front of the aircraft as possible to save a few minutes that way, too.
