Could anyone tell me what the SA international lounge in JNB looks like.

I have a connecting international flight in JNB with SA on business class. Does the lounge have showers, what about food?

Tks,

The Johannesburg lounge is currently undergoing refurb + expansion. So you would need to check on a week by week basis. (flying next Friday will check and post)

It is usually very good, with showers. Not food/menu like the Cycad lounge, but sandwiches, biscuits, crips - the usuall J stuff.

Thanks. I am flying SA international on Sunday (JNB-DAR), and would be grateful if you could post the updated info about the lounge, especially whether showers are available.

Tks,

What is the access policy for SA F lounge in JNB these days? I am arriving on LX F and connecting to SA J international, would I get access to F lounge or will it be J lounge?

They not very helpful. We were four passengers flying to LHR in F 18months back with 6 others in J. They were not willing to allow the J members.

The JNB lounges manager at SAA took early retirement in Dec, so I dont know what the policy is of the new sheriff.

SAA - do they have lots of delays on their domestic flights?

we are making a flight from Port elizabeth to Johannesburg and catching an international flight

do they have lots delays on domestic flights?

1. do you think it s reasonable to land at 20 30 to catch a flight at 23 30

2. is domestic terminal far away from the international terminal? how much time to walk

thanks a lot

Generally, I would not say SAA are particularly bad with delays. I think 3 hours between flights is more than enough. As long as you both your domestic and international flight is with SAA you will be able to collect your boarding passes for both and check your luggage all the way through at PE (hence reducing the time you need in JHB). The distance between the terminals is maybe 10-15 minutes.
