Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - NZ Super Shuttle airport buses

Any reports on these? Considering booking one from CHC to a location on Blenheim Rd, about 500m west of Hagley Park. They have quoted me (as a single pax) NZD18.

Anyone know how this compares with the cost of a cab?

No big dollars involved, just curious if they're reliable, and how the cost compares with a cab. Trip would be off-peak (around 2100).

I think a cab will be a little more than that, but perhaps not much. From just east of Hagley Park on Kilmore St was $25.

Thx KF. Probably worth me just getting a cab rather than mucking around with (and pre-paying) a super-shuttle.

There is also the regular city transit bus which operates fairly regularly from the airport to Hagley Park for around NZ$7.

Thx stewardo. :) I'll check it out but given the time of day (~2100) chances are I'll probably opt to go direct to the motel rather than indirect routing.

I did manage to catch a dedicated airport shuttle bus from The Square to the airport after last year's Kiwi Mainland Do 2 for $5, which was IMO a pretty remarkable price. It pulled up nearby while I was waiting for another similar service with a base fare of $5, but with a fuel surcharge of $2! So airlines and cruise lines aren't the only ones who charge it!
