Air New Zealand Air Points - Best *Alliance membership for earn/burn?

Has anyone sat down and calculated which would be the best Star Alliance FFP to join (and credit airmiles too) from the perspective of best earn/burn ratio for someone based in NZ but flying mixed class (mostly business class) frequently to destinations in Asia, Europe and USA (mostly Asia)?

I've recently requalified for NZ*G but don't fly in NZ metal much. I've watched program changes devalue my Airpoint Dollars and i've decided its time to be less passive and more strategic.

If you fly mainly business class then LH or BD would be best (great earning rates). If more flying to & through USA consider UA (good earn/burn esp if fly mostly UA).

Been a thread oh this recently and BD and AC came out popular, but as always Airpoints is great when flying on NZ mental for those 'perks'. If you gain enough milage for Star Alliance Gold then that would get you lounge access _b
