Flying Blue (Air France, KLM, and Other Partners) - AF/KL Level flights query

Hi,
I tried to search for my query below but couldn't find anything (not sure the search function is very good, or I just can't use it properly)...
So here goes:
1. Do you earn level flights on domestic flights within France?
2. As KLM doesn't fly from DUB-AMS so AerLingus is used on behalf of KLM. Do i get level flight on this leg if I buy the trip through KLM (as a connecting flight to somewhere else - i.e. DUB-AMS-BOD)?
Thanks,
F

Just watch out with the Aer Lingus flights - they only count as level flights when you connect to/from a KLM flight at Schiphol, and only when all flights are booked via KLM and have a single PNR. If you book just the Aer Lingus operated flight(s) to/from Ireland via the KLM call centre, you end up paying far more than you would with Aer Lingus, and you won't receive any miles, they don't count as Level Flights, and you won't have access to the KLM lounges at Schiphol even if you manage to print out a boarding pass with the KL codeshare flight number on it. Pity, otherwise I'd be platinum with SkyTeam.

Thanks Guys...
Guess I'm getting closer to get Gold next year then :-)
Cheers,

I would not be so sure. I regularly connect via AMS on KL ticket stock. Flights to AMS are on EI and onward travel on KL/NW. I have never been able to convince them that I am entitled to mileage on the flight to AMS. However I always get my 750miles for the return trip AMS to Ireland on EI. I tried challenging this several times but eventually gave up.
(my flights are purchased through company travel desk, not via website).

What would the minimum miles be for AMS-VIE in V class?
I know one gets 25% on V class fares. AMS-VIE nets 598 miles. 25% of that would be 150 miles. So would I get 750 miles or just 150? Or 25% of the 750 minimum miles?
Thanks!

25% of 750 rounded down (remember? Generous by nature!) to 187...

But can you confirm that they count as level flights (DUB-AMS)?
Basically if an AF/KL or other SkyTeam flight earns miles (at any rate) it will count as a valid segment for level purposes.
On FB any flight that carries a KL or AF code regardless of carrier or mode of transportation should be classed as a valid flight for FB purposes.
Therefore KL booked flights on Aer Lingus should be classed as a valid level flight as long as your ticket lists it as a KL code. However, as noted here you may be in for a fight if the miles don't post automatically.

On a simialr note but different route,
BRS-CDG-AMS, one leg on KL and the other on AF, or both on one carrier for argument sake.
Now is that 2 flight segments for status purpose or just one flight?

And as I am Gold - would I then get 75% of 187?

Yes but only for award miles, not level miles.
mahajanvikas - each separate flight taken counts as a segment. BRS-CDG 1st segment and then CDG-AMS 2nd segment.
Only time this would not be the case is if both flights had the same flight number. This is not the case here and I don't think I've seen this anywhere in Europe. But in the US I've seen connecting flights sold under the same flight number even if the connection involved a change in aircraft.

Two. If you take two flights with two different flight numbers then each of them is one segment.

Yes, unless your registered FB address is in France or Monaco.
Not your case I assume

Yes, you would get 187 level miles and 187+ 140 (75% of 187 rounded further down!) = 327 award miles. But wait, this is not the end of the great news! As a gold member, from 1 April, you will have exclusive access to AF La Premiere awards, which means that you will be able to treat yourself to an amazing luxury experience flying CDG-Tokyo in first class for free (as long as you pay taxes and fuel surcharges of course) after flying the route a mere 1224 times! Isn't life wonderful?

Thanks for all your answers :)
This surely gives you a faster and more precise (and friendlier) answer than any CS at any airline could ever give you ^
