hI;
i am considering to use OZ from SIN to ICN in C(J) class on the red eye flight since the reutation was good in terms of Service and hospiality.
In the booking info it was displayed on the website -no meal-for the flight in Biz class leaving 10.30 pm - I can't believe!!
So stay hunrgy and do some good for your shape when flying Asiana- with SQ you get at least supper and breakfast in C!
How is the seat -so when you can not eat -can you sleep well or better vs. the SQ regional C-seats?
Also will SQ switch to the A 330 on this route in near future?
So many questions in one post

Actually, according to the OZ website, the SIN-ICN flight gets supper, but no breakfast.

On SQ, you make the choice between supper and breakfast - not both (unless they have spares)

The seat is much better than SQ regional C.

I don't think SQ will switch to A330 in the near future, because it is Australia first, then Japan. Then perhaps Korea.

I would personally take OZ in C if on the redeye, because the regional J seat is so poor. If on the daytime flight, especially on the SQ 77W, then SQ would be better.

Flew this route last month on my way back to SEA. Go with OZ. I took SQ hoping for an upgraded product but it wasn't. SQ service was still great but the product is old and tired. OZ service is comparable (at least it was for my ICN-SEA leg) so SQ really has no advantage on this route. Was told by my SQ FF friends and a former 744 pilot that SQ's regional metal is falling behind other carriers.

Most others in the region have upgraded or are upgrading their C products with SQ just starting to get into improvements with their new 333. Oddly the pilot (now assigned to 333) thought that even the new cabins were lacking compared to other regional carriers (NH, TG).

That's shocking! Having tried the new regional C on SQ A333, I feel that it is comparable to Spacebeds, which is similar to other carriers' longhaul products and miles ahead of other regional carriers. Unfortunately, ICN route won't receive the new regional C for quite some time. :( You could, however, take the morning SQ fight which has the new longhaul C on the 77W.

If you're thinking that SQ regional C is better than OZ's new C seats, then by all means go for it!

You'll get fed on OZ, don't worry!

Now if you can get C on SQ's 77W......... ;)

Let me clarify, I said SQ new regional C on the A333 is comparable to OZ longhaul C seats. It is better than OZ regional C.@:-)

Hi, I would like to fly SQ with the 777ER on the morning flight but I have to use the red eye because I have a meeting in the morning and do fly out already late afternoon to NRT !

So SQ is not with space beds?:td:And no chance to get a A 330!
The new Asiana seats on the SIN-ICN route -are they similar to the new TG seats in the 777? On the OZ website it looks so.
Food I don't worry I can have some in the lounge pre-flight.

You will have access to the SQ lounge at SIN, so come early and eat in the lounge, though there is a dinner in flight but as noted, little more than juice and coffee available prior to arrival. I did this route in January albeit in First. As noted, the equipment is not the most up-to-date, in fact it's two generations behind SQ's current standard.

Will be taking the OZ SIN-ICN flight on Saturday evening - does anyone know whether I can ask the FAs to hold my meal until before landing? I will most likely have eaten lots in SIN before my flight so I won't be very interested in eating after departure, but I may be hungry again after sleeping...

For the regional C flights I've been on, it's been no problem for me to request the meal to be served before landing rather than after take-off, so I assume from SIN it should also be the same.
