I'm looking for suggestions on Hotels in the Atlanta, GA or Dallas, TX area. I would like something in a resort-like setting, with meeting options available.
Any suggestions?

Any suggestions? Gaylord, Grapevine, close to North Entrance, DFW, is one of the few that seems semi- (very semi) resortish to me and is basically a "meeting hotal". There 's a Hilton Conference Center nearby, IIRC. Dallas and Atlanta are to resorts as a paper plate is to a good steak. The Stockyards area over in Ft. Worth seem pretty resorty, and there's always Billy Bob's to recreate and a couple of decent steak places. Last time I was at a meeting in Ft. Worth, at Billy Bob's I met this big old girl from who could drink half a case of beer and a few Magaritas, then dance until we were both pretty sweaty, before groping me under the table. I think she was from out by Archer City or Olney though, not a Ft. Worth girl, 'cuz she was waring cracked Ropers, not those fancy Snakagator boots. We do a yearly conference there and yes, it costs a good bit but it's always fabulous. robyng Mar 2, 09, 9:25 pm Are you talking about a meeting with 2 clients - or a group of 100? And why limit yourself to Dallas and Atlanta? Most resorts are in the dumps these days - and you can probably make a very good deal just about anywhere for a large meeting. Robyn |
