May be spending a couple of days near there.
Any interesting things? (I know there are some wineries, but is there other good stuff? Any interesting Lewis and Clark sites?)

Perhaps check out the capital, which has some nice exhibits in the central areas.
Jefferson City (http://www.visitjeffersoncity.com/home.html)has the Capital and Governor's Mansion, but I'm not sure how much there is with regard to Lewis and Clark. Of course, it's on the Missouri River, so there are camp sites (http://lewisclark.geog.missouri.edu/campsites/1804/camps.shtml)in the area. If you are interested in biking or hiking, the Katy Trail (http://www.bikekatytrail.com/default.asp)follows the river in that area. You can even paddle the L&C route (http://www.dnr.mo.gov/water-trail/index.html). In 2004, a group from St. Charles (http://www.lewisandclark.net/)recreated the L&C journey. Here (http://newali.apple.com/ali_sites/ali/exhibits/1001366/)is their report from Jeff City.
Don't forget that Churchill gave his famous 'Iron Curtain' speech at Westminster College in Fulton, MO which is not too far from Jeff' City. http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Iron_Curtain_Speech There is a memorial and museum: http://www.churchillmemorial.org/Pages/default.aspx
Westminster College is in Fulton which I think is a fairly scenic little place. http://www.callawaychamber.com/CallawayChamber/
The Katy Trail runs along the river by Jeff' City. Fun if your activities oriented. http://www.bikekatytrail.com/jeffersoncity.asp
I don't think there's anything special particular to Lewis & Clark that Jeff' City can boast other than they happened by on the river. http://www.visitjeffersoncity.com/locations/category/104

I second the recommendation for the Churchill stuff in Fulton. I remember going there as a teenager and thinking it was pretty interesting.
