Radisson goldpoints plus - Booking a meeting at Radisson. Hints?

I'm booking a meeting, the first at Radisson. Other meetings will follow.
Any hint? How to maximise point earning, or ongoing promos, or stuff I should be aware of?

Are points earned with meeting somehow useful for elite tiers?
Well, I know that points for meetings are not officially qualifying points, but I wonder whether there is some unofficial benefit.

A quick email to the GPP / Carlson team got this answer

We do offer "Points for Planners" within the goldpoints plus program.
When arranging an event with the hotel, please mention that you would
like Points for Planners, and this should be added to your contract.

Points are awarded as follows:
3 Gold Points per U.S. dollar1 of total qualifying event purchases up to
$5,000.
5 Gold Points per U.S. dollar1 of total qualifying event purchases of
$5,000 or more.

information, click on "Earn" located in the top bar. On the next page
their is a link for Points for Planners in the middle of the page.

Points awarded from the "Points for Planners" program does not count
toward member status. Member status is only aquired from nights spent
in our hotels.
