Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - OT: aerohkg.com

I got contacted by a new online TA AIR-HONGKONG.COM, and they are using the software of bankrupt aerohkg.com. A bit strange. Anyone knows what happened and if they are reliable or just the old team of aerohkg reborn?

Sounds like they used aerohkg's email list of clients and contacted you.

I'd just search for a new TA in HKG if I were you.

I posted something here a while back. Bought a Aero ticket and they went bankruprt, to make a long story short just stay away.

I also got these emails and was a former customer of aerohongkong (travelsexpert.com.hk was also operated by them).
I threw it away immediately as there was no indication from whence it came and I'm a little suspicious of booking anything other than a last-minute trip with a TA these days!

I'm glad the website is back. It's a good one to check fare classes of various advertised fares.

I would use the website to search for fares, but book somewhere else. Why take the chance when all the travel agents pretty much have the same fares?

Besides I forgot which one but a few weeks ago ended up getting information for a TA in HKg even more dodgy, hence the question : which eTAs are trustable in HK, except Tigion (which I've used a couple of times without problem) ?

If you click on "abous us" on the website, you could see that aerohkg.com has actually been taken over by another TA.

I've only bought one ticket from Aero and I find that when dealing with TAs the agent is very hard to get hold of - which is why I've only used CX Reservations and CX.com to purchase CX tickets for the last couple of years. Not heard of Sunpac before, but for the peace of mind it may be worth going to the larger TAs such as Swire or Westminster Travel.
