6,744 miles
If MVPG (double), book on alaskaair.com (1k), and use an Alaska visa card (496) - 14,984 miles

Use alaskaair.com multi-city search.
Enter SFO-SEA, SEA-AUS, AUS-SEA, SEA-SFO.

Good on mid-week travel (I just booked 3/25-3/26) - no idea for how long, but found dates in Mar/Apr.
Perhaps you can work in a stop in PDX between SFO and SEA for a few more miles.

Fare is upgradeable.

I've been looking at this on aa.com for a flight I actually need. I got up sfo-lax-ord-aus for a better connection (for me) and similar effective miles. It's an O fare on AA.

how did you find those connections on AA? did you have to use multicity?

I noticed that AA.com is not showing the mileage from SEA to SFO. Do AAdvantage members get the mileage for that flight? Does anyone know what the mileage would be?

AA does not show the mileage because the flight is on Alaska, not American. You will definitely get mileage for that flight, I believe it is about 679 miles.

I've done this run a few times in reverse (AUS-SEA via ORD/SFO); not bad mileage and can be done in a weekend; but it's a bit of a pain switching terminals from AA to AS in SFO.
