Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Dine before flight in SFO?

It has been a few years since I have flown CX to HKG. About 5 years ago CX used to use the JAL Sakura lounge at SFO. Now it looks like they use BA Terraces, which has to be an improvement. I am curious if I can dine before flight in the BA F lounge (traveling CX F on CX873, departing at 12:10am). Does anyone know? Many thanks.

Well, it is an improvement, but anything greater than zero is positive.
The BA F lounge is only a small room inside the BA Terrace. It is not really better than the J hall outside. You can have some dim sum (cold:rolleyes:), noodles, crackers, drinks etc. I only eat so that I can skip the meal they serve about an hour into the flight, which is worse (if on Y). I would advise you to have dinner before getting there.

Ditto. The "room" is more like prison, especially if there are lots of DMs or EMs on the flight. About the only positive thing they have in there are better potato chips.

Spot on. It feels like a holding cell. The J side is much larger and more airy. There really is no food of substance to speak of. If you'd like to dine before the flight, the food court in the terminal is the option.
