Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - Honeymoon help

I am getting married in November and am looking at doing 12 days in the South Pacific. Can any one give me some recommendations? I am looking to spend around $10,000 on flights and accom.

I am thinking Cook Islands, Fiji and Tahiti. Any feed back on hotels and destinations of choice would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, CONGRATS!

We also did our honeymoon in the South Pacific, and spent three (!) weeks there. Well, if you consider we flew all the way from Germany, it is quite an effort to get there (especially on miles ;-)) so we thought it's worth to hang out there a bit....

I can recommend a cruise with the Paul Gauguin (http://www.rssc.com/ships/paul_gauguin/), this takes you from Tahiti around the most important and beautiful spots, while you get spoiled on board.

If you on top/ alternatively want to do individual island hopping, I can highly recommend to visit Fakarava, and lodge at the Havaiki Pearl Guest House (http://www.havaiki.com/2.html).
