I quite enjoyed the dish on my KE J class flights. Just wondering if I went to a korean restaurant here in the US if I would find that it tastes similarly or if KE has their own special version...

I fly KE very rarely but as best I can remember and judge, their bibimbap tastes more like what you'd get in a Korean restaurant in the US rather than in Korea. I love bibimbap at Korean restaurants in LA's Koreatown, New Zealand, and Australia. Likewise I like the bibimbap on KE and OZ. In Korea though I've only had one or two places that were very good, the rest either very plain or downright bad. Strange, though maybe it's just me.

Bibimbap is the most basic menu that even "I" can make. :) It just depends on the red paste sauce and oil. What KE serves is very plain with surprisingly fresh ingredients. You'll get similar taste in many (not all) Korean restaurants here in US.
