JetBlue TrueBlue - Jetblue Late Arrival Question

I tried reading through this forum to figure it all out....but...not quite getting what I want.
My mother visited and last week flew (2/18) home from CLT to BTV.
She was supposed to leave CLT at 6 and arrive in JFK at 8:02pm.
She actually ended up being delayed because of weather (although the first announcement was that they were delayed because they were holding for two more passengers.) So, she sat on the runway and the plane left at about 8:30 and arrived at the gate in JFK at 10:22.
She then had to catch her connecting flight to BTV at 10:45. She got on this flight, the plane was delayed for an hour due to the airline needing to call in a new pilot and she actually landed about 45-50 mins late.
So, would she receive any compensation?
Definitely not for the weather delay. And probably not for the crew delay as they'll claim the crew delay was based on a weather delay that prevented the pilot from getting to the plane. Once again the jetBlue Customer Bill of Rights shows its true efficacy.
Also, welcome to FlyerTalk!! There is a whole forum devoted just to jetBlue (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/jetblue-trueblue-492/), where this thread will make its way shortly thanks to the help of the moderators. And I see from another post you just made that you found it. ;)

Welcome to FT!
As SBM12 pointed out, it looks like it will be filed under "weather delays", so she wouldn't get compensation.
Personally, I would not complain about arriving 45 minutes late. She made her connection and got home. If I were to complain about arriving 45 minutes late, I would be on the phone several times a month.

The net effect on her was that she got to BTV only 45 minutes late?!?! Not only is there no compensation, she did better than many JetBlue passengers for whom a slight delay balloons into an arrival 12 hours late, or even the next day. Your mom should count herself lucky!
Welcome to FT! You'll fit right in.
No you're not entitled to anything when you get home just 45 minutes late.
Mostly you ought to be thankful.

Air travelers, be they elderly mothes or hardened road warriors need to recall that famous maxim from the years of gunnery engagements between large sailing warships. As the great ships of the line moved closer to each other, waiting until point blank range to discharge their massive braodsides, the traditional prayer was.....
"For that which we are about to receive, may God makes us unfeignedly thankful."
That pretty well sums up what to expect at the airport.... "Compensation? We don' need no steenkin' compensation! We just need to get there in one piece, accompanied if possible by the more important parts of our luggage and before thae last shuttle has departed the terminal."
