Hi Everybody,
I am just considering to book my first ever CX flights, and am a bit puzzled about the Equipment Coding and the Olympus info from the CX FAQ.
My current ITN shows LHR-HKG and back on 744, HKG-SYD on 330 Travel would be last week of Nov / 2nd week of DEC.
What are the chances of those having the much praised Olympus Solution, or how is their Y in General? Should I be looking for Flights with different Equipment instead?
Comfort would be somewhat nice, since I am actually considering all four flights to be overnight in order to save as much daytime as possible for exploring (and hotel costs, since I am on a budget).
I also wonder about their Excess Baggage policies. Couldn't find prices mentioned anywhere. I feel that 20KG is (too) little for 2-3 weeks... Do they offer a package, let's say add 10KG for a certain fee? How much do they normally charge for excess baggage?
What are the risks of having the Handluggage weight checked? Can I just stuff 15KG in my small trolley (like on european BA flights)?
Thanks a lot!
