Press Release from NK (http://www.spiritair.com/PressReleaseDetails.aspx?number=20081216)

Spirit Airlines today announced that the ultra low cost carrier will begin service between Boston and Atlantic City on May 1, 2009

BOS-ACY Flight 235 Depart: 10:40 AM Arrive: 12:05 PM

ACY-BOS Flight 262 Depart: 5:20 PM Arrive: 6:45 PM

My sources have told me (unconfirmed) that it was per the encouragement and guarantee of the pre-purchase of seats by Trump, Tropicana, and a leading junket operator that made this service happen.

$9 fare club deals, and overall low prices make this an awesome flight alternative for those in South Jersey/Philadelphia area needing to get to New England. ACY is a very easy airport to navigate, and an awesome alternative to PHL, IMO.

Does this use Logan or another smaller Boston area airport?

I wonder if the Trump property financial issues will stop this from going forward?

It's BOS (Boston Logan) -- and it's definitely a go! (well, as definite as anything can be ;)); you can book at www.spiritair.com (http://www.spiritair.com/)

Can you share details on the coupon code? I am getting roughly $150 for a trip in May.

Spirit has a lot of sales that last anywhere from 12 to 48 hours. At the time I booked it when there was a sale on select days bringing the ticket price down to $19 o/w. Then I used a coupon that was also only good for a day or so to bring the total to $0.

Keep an eye on Spirit's website, check it once or twice a day and in the next couple weeks you should be able to find a ticket for a lot less if you have some flexibility.

Just looked at booking a ticket on this route end of January. It looks like BOS-ACY was dropped effective Sept. 7 :(

AFAIK, it's now seasonal. Starting up again in April.

3-5x per month junkets (nonstop BOS-ACY-BOS) are still available, though.

There are also (much more limited) junkets nonstop MHT-ACY-MHT, offered by CET.
