Flying Blue (Air France & KLM) - Faxes: "We are unable to read the document"

Every time I send a fax to FB I get the following reply:

Dear Sir,
Thank you very much for your e-mail dated .
As we were unable to read the document you sent us, we invite you to forward the original document or a legible copy to the following address :
FLYING BLUE
94852 Ivry Sur Seine Cedex
FRANCE

Now I have used a variety of fax machines over the last three years and I object to the £2 I have to spend each time I want to send the "documents" especialy as this one was for a 100 mile Europcar rental that as per usual the miles did not post on; does anyone else recieve this standard reply: they perhaps need an equipment upgrade...or specs??

Yes, fairly common recently. They can't read the fax, but they managed to read your FB number and address in it. I suppose they just want the originals or don't want to bother. Send a letter or forget about it.

I got a 'can't read your CO boarding pass stub' email response having sent a bunch of them off late last year. Ok-some were slightly manky but still fairly readable.Certainly can't accuse FB of being short sighted here :)

Most interestingly is what happened to my wife. She faxed a missing miles claim, got the email saying they could not read the documents ... but in the meantime, the miles appeared in her account.

If it is the person I know at AF who has now moved onto FB then this may be tricky as she is partially blind.

Would explain why sometimes miles post incorrectly. ;)

the FB staff has no training

the only answer you can get from them is NO

and once I asked about validity of my miles and I got 5 different answers

they have no clue what is going on there
