Sixt - Sixt Platinum treatment at SVQ airport in Spain?

Hi all,

I have an upcoming booking with Sixt in March at SVQ airport during a week-end.
I have a Sixt Platinum member card. Do you have any experiences in terms of upgrade? level of service?

in my experience (aprox 4-5 rentals within the last 3y) Platinum has never brought me ANY upgrade. Always got what I booked.

The SIXT staff always tell me, that they don´t give Platinum benefits in Spain.
Maybe I was just unlucky or they didn´t liked my nose ;)
But don´t hope for too much status recognition.

Sixt staff at AGP told me last year that because of my Plat status they'd give me a Golf if I paid for a Polo.

But the Polo price was so high that it was FAR cheaper to hire a Focus from Goldcar Europa, who also happened to have full CDW included in the price.

Having said that, if you are intending to do any driving within Sevilla and/or any other city in Andalusia, a rental car upgrade is about the last thing you need. Parking space is in very short supply.

Sixt are very new in Spain (3 yrs if that) and it looks like that, for the moment, they're just catering to corporates who can enjoy phenomenal volume discounts and/or just don't know better.
