Hi,

Tried to search but did not discover any previous thread covering this topic.

What is the minimum connection time going from LH T2 to LX T2 in LHR?

Would 40 minutes be doable on a Saturday afternoon?

Thanks

I've done connections in that time due to delayed inbounds, and while it was doable it was very tight. You have to walk quite a way to the FCC between T1 and T2, then pass security there and walk all the way back. Even worse if you don't have your onward BP.

So, no I would not book a connection like that, the chance that you miss it on is too big, and you'll be stranded at LHR as no one will care for your below-MCT connection.

Had anything from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours. I'd say 40 minutes could work - but if you have any other option I'd try to avoid it.

I once did it from Paddington to the flight in something between 35 and 50 min. I never want to do this again.

From Paddington you do not need to transfer via the FCC - this is the bottleneck. I would never plan for a 40 minutes connection in LHR.

Yes I did this once and walking from t1 to t2 and back again just for security check felt like the most useless thing I ever endured.

If I have a connection there again, I seriously think of going through immigration in t1, leaving airside and reenter through t1 security..

I just did a turn around in LHR: it took me 13.5 (!) minutes from leaving the plane to beeing behind the security scan again.
I even had time to do some shopping and go for a couple of minutes to the lounge to dring a coffee.
So, its defenetely better to leave via arrival and re-enter. But have you BP printed before. And of course a HON escort helps jumping the lines at passport/security.
Even if the position is not gate 3 (as today) it should be possible...

Best regards from the new FCL in B (second time today, just back from the SPA)
