Hello everyone! I am having a destination wedding in New Orleans and I need to find a restaurant to have my wedding reception luncheon. Our party is small, only 8 people. We are looking for a place with a "heavy" lunch menu with great food and great ambiance. Any suggestions?

What about Galatoire's?

Hi Swag,
Unfortunately they only do brunch on weekends. And I just renamed the thread because I realized I didn't put the location of what city I needed info about! Thanks for your suggestion!

Bayona - on the patio.

Bayona - on the patio.

I like that idea. There's a subdued atmsophere about the place which might make a fine "fit" for your occasion and group size. Ask for Ms. Keever...

The OP called for Luncheon, far distant from brunch for us Southren folk.

If you're doing either, you'll likely want to preselect the menu to reduce confusion, and unless you're determined to have aigs, upstairs at Galatoire's works.

As earlier posted, as much as I like Galatoire's, I suspect that working out a fixed menu in the garden at Bayona would bring optimal results.

The space at Restaurant August is such that they could probably arrange to seat your party in a private area... and their menu is quite delicious yet also reasonably priced for fine dining.
