you need to book it through the asiamiles site, AA only allows you to book when using AAdvantage miles

I really love Asia Miles when booking on AA flights,

First, I can change flights (subject to award availability) for free, while AAdvantage members (Except EXP) are charged $150, and I can book a flight today for tomorrow (without any $50-$100 close-in processing fee), and no ridiculous $20-$30 agent-assisted reservation fee!

it just says to fill out a request and that they will get back to you in 7 days? is that how to do it? also how is it that they say that two one ways or only 30000 asiamiles but on aa it is 50000 aadvantage miles. are asiamiles worth more than advantage miles????

Since you are booking with Asia Miles, you can completely disregard any mention of AA miles. It is not relevant to you. You are booking AA seats only.

Just fill out the form and they will get back to you, or call them, but unless you have elite status, be prepared for very, very long wait. I suggest calling after midnight in Hong Kong.

sure they dont have those extra charges, but their redeeming rate is higher than some airlines within Oneworld (at least when compared to JAL)
