FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Building officials could force the demolition of a half-built Fort Wayne hotel tower because they say major cracks have formed as it sinks into improperly prepared soil.

A hearing is scheduled for next week to determine what to do about the 80-room Homewood Suites by Hilton Hotel near Interstate 69. Allen County Building Commissioner Dave Fuller says the demolition recommendation is meant to prod the owners to make a decision on the building’s fate.

Upon check-in:

"Sir, will that be smoking or non-smoking?"

"King bed or queen?"

"Above or below ground?"

Maybe they can put a patent on this. Don't people routinely pay extra for a in-ground swimming pool vs an above ground one? So, just figure out how to get a sinking swimming pool. :)
