Korean Air Skypass - GMP-HND codeshare with JL- who's better?

I've got a city-to-city flight in the summer as part of a paid RTW. The flight I'm booked on is showing as op by JAL.

Since I'll probably be making further changes to the RTW, and the change fee is $100 per transaction, I can choose to move to a KE-operated flight for no extra cost.

As per OK+ rules, I'll still get my miles if I keep the JL flight, so that's not a consideration.

I'm in business class.

Shall I try and keep the JL flight, change to a KE one or just focus on timings etc?

Both airliners are using not state-of-the-art J product on this route, at this point. This route is a cash cow, so capacity comes first than level of equipment. JAL might have individual TV, though, while KE does not. JL and KE offer different timings, so it's perfect to fit to your schedule.

This is, on average, a 1 hr and 30 minute flight. I can't imagine focusing on anything else but flight timing.

JL's slippers are sturdier :)

Does OK+ really give status miles even on non-Skyteam operated, Skyteam codeshares? Apart from the exclusion of lower buckets on say AF/KL, its FFP so far does look like a front-runner for FB refugees' custom.

Try to avoid rush hours at either end, that's all. ;)

Although it is such a short flight, JL is better any day.
Food is also better on JL.
As a side note, even though you ticket has a ST flight number, if the flight is operated by non-ST airline( in your case JL), you don't get OK plus miles.

Alright, I'm sticking with JL, though it seems that it really doesn't matter. I hadn't realised it was only 1h30'- I was thinking it was around 3 hours or so (I've never been to Japan, and my only visit to Korea was a 1-day transit).

And maybe I'll need to send in the BP, but I will get my OK+ miles, just as I got them for the UX-coded flight op by Air Comet! :D

 That is very unusual. Then, maybe that is why the program is called OK plus, not just OK.:D

Yes.

That's a pretty nice benefit. I have never been able to find a good page for all of the OK+ benefits, elite benefits, and Skyteam award/earning charts. I think anytime those Which Skyteam program for me discussions come about OK+ may be a decent recommendation for some but they make their info so hard to find.
