iDine/Rewards Network - Credit Card Linking to Airlines (Timing Question)

I know, it's a lousy title, but I couldn't come up with anything better!
I had a brain cramp today, and paid for an I-Dine with a credit card that is associated with an airline that I'm not focusing my spending on at the moment (due to a promotion).
If prior to posting on Rewards Network I switch the credit card to the airline currently offering the promo, what will occur?
A. Get miles on the original airline,
B. Get miles on the airline I subsequently switched to, or
C. Get no miles on any airline because I "deleted" the card temporarily from the original airline before adding the Airline #2.
If anyone has specific experience with this situation, I would appreciate your input!

I have had 100% success in switching credit cards from one airline to another after my dine and on the same day.
Usually, you can switch the day after you dine. Worth trying.
I wouldn't try it two days or more days after the dine.

If you switch by only adding the card to the new account (which typically auto-deletes it from the prior account), without actively deleting it from the original account first, the "temporarily" should be just seconds.
I therefore think that while there's a C, it's:
C. Unpredictable which.
(as long as you don't manually delete).

I was under the impression that if you try to add a credit card to a particular airline's RN account that has already been used for another airline's RN account, it would reject it -- not delete it from the "old" RN account.
I went ahead and made the manual switch later in the day that the dining activity occurred. I'll let everyone know how it plays out!

ColoradoWizard was correct. Changing airline affiliations later in the day did work -- my miles were credited to the airline I subsequently switched to.

Quicker is always better, but I have found that the switch can be made a day or even 2 later without any adverse affect.
