Hawaii-based Airlines - Any idea when MW's E170 ITO-HNL service starts?

Anything new on MW's planned E170 service between ITO and HNL? I'd like to give these folks a shot when I go home in May. Everything I can find says "early 2009."

I went to their website yesterday hoping to find info on their ITO service, but it wasn't there, so I sent an email to customer care inquiring about it. Haven't heard back yet. I usually interpret "early in the year" as being in the first quarter, which is half gone already. Maybe they are encountering obstacles of some sort, perhaps financial.

There's another news story I found that said "early spring."

That doesn't sound promising. Sounds like it's being pushed back. I'll just wait and see, I guess.

I got this response to my email from MW today:

Sorry, there is no firm date on when we will start our Hilo route. It might be around late March early April. Thank you for your email.

That's a bit more specific than "early 2009," but something more concrete would be helpful to those of us with plans pending.
