What can I expect to pay for a round trip once the booking window opens?

The fares start at the upper levels when they open up. The come down after a couple months at the top and then generally go back up closer to departure, assuming that seats are selling. I wouldn't bet on $159 when the buckets open up, but they will likely come down to that level or potentially lower, depending on how bad things look on the future bookings numbers and the specific dates of travel.

I traveled JFK-MCO last year XMas Eve to New Years Day. It started out high, I booked on 9/30/08 paid $499. Kept a close eye on it and got issued credits and it ended up costing me $369. Maybe it might be cheaper this year especially if the enconomy doesn't improve.
