I wonder when we will see the first triple points promo again. They obviously felt that the fall behind their competitors....

As a lowly silver, I received an offer of 25K for 4 stays during the same timeframe.

Hmm, nada here from another Diamond. I'm using the double-points promo, but having signed an extended stay agreement today, t'would be nice to be shown a little love by HHonors.

Why would you expect them to give you a promo when you've already signed an extended stay agreement? :confused:

The promo is probably intended to get business from people who might not otherwise stay (or might not stay 4 or 8 times within a given time frame).

nothing for me :( and I could move a few stays from Marriott over to Hilton ... common HH, you can do it!

I didn't say that it made tactical business sense - the people at HHonors won't have visibility of anything that's happening at a local property at that level anyways.

I've just twigged that next week I've got 6 nights (potentially 7 if I can make the flight..) in 3 different Hiltons in 3 countries. First thought was that I won't be sleeping much because of travelling, but second thought was that they do benefit from my quite slim preference for them over the alternatives.

I got targetted for an offer to stay 4 times before May 31 and get Gold, plus 10k bonus points. Currently at Silver right now, so this is a nice targetted e-mail! Thanks HH!

Kathy , I think you have it right , I currently have prepaid stays & reservations within the next month which amounts to over 6,000USD + extra spending on meals etc , by the end of March I will have already booked over 100,000 base pts for this year.

Interesting to understand how they value Diamond members that are supporting the brand in the current climate ?

I was diamond for about 7 years straight and got fed up with Hh and moved those stays to MR, HY, SPG PC & GP+.. the vast majority were business stays too.

I am gold still but b/c they have just kept giving it to me; I haven't had a paid stay since late 2006.

I would think that they would have wondered where I went, to see if they could lure me back for a measly 50K

but I guess not.. oh well.. there are still a lot of other other promos to hit by the other chains.. although not for the month of may :D hint hint

I am in about the same boat. I would think I would be in the target category also. I am still Diamond till April but my Hilton activity has been anemic for the last year so I would think I would be in the target range as well. Oh well... :)

I too have really cut back on Hilton stays in favor of promo rich IHG properties. No emails for me either. I guess Hilton doesn't mind the reduction in revenue.
