One of my pals was on her local news website in a video story and I want to archive the video. Looks like it's embedded in flash player. Any ideas?

Thanks

Easiest way? Make it full screen and use your digital camera ;)

Otherwise, try finding a flash video download tool like this one:

There's a Firefox add-on that will do this too.

Well so far my results can be summed up in one word:

LOL, I'll have to keep playing with it

On Safari, Download SafariStand, install, then Command Click, Save to Downloads Folder.

Super easy. I download youtube videos to play on my iPod/iPhone all the time.

Since the video is probably the largest thing on the page, you can also open Window > Activity, then double click the largest file to download it.

I've used DownloadHelper (FF plug-in) and flvrecorder successfully in the past, though it has been a while.

I use Jing, use it for screen captures for tutorials and the rest, so already have it. Best of all, it's free.

well thank you everyone.

My college gf (who I just happened to run into on facebook) now has a lovely MP4 of her 2 minutes of fame :-)

I love Jing, but it's so damn unreliable, plus a horrible memory hog. Then again, there really isn't anything better :(

RealPlayer has a downloader for Flash.

A window pops up over the video. Click on it, and it begins recording the file as an .flv. Then, go to RealPlayer and watch it whenever you want. Or you can burn it to DVD.
