Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - How do you buy tickets with a long layover on purpose?

I will be flying from the United States into Europe this summer, with Warsaw as the hub. I would like to stay in Warsaw for 2 days and then board my final flight 2 days later, but I can't find out how to specify this when buying a ticket online through Kayak or any similar site. Does anyone know the trick for doing this or do I need a travel agent?

What is your ideal itinerary, for all cities? It isn't clear from what you posted.

I want to fly from MSP to LCA, and right now the cheapest flight has Warsaw as the hub. The layover is 6 hours but I would rather just stay in Warsaw for 2 days to sightseeing and then head on to LCA.

Are you entering a typical round-trip search with MSP as your origin and LCA as your destination? If that's the case, then you need to use the "multiple destinations" option in your search as follows:
1st Segment: MSP-Warsaw
2nd Segment: Warsaw-LCA
3rd Segment: LCA-MSP (assuming your want to return without a stopover)
Good luck!
