I was wondering if there were any minimum requirements or qualifications that were required to obtain this card. I don’t understand why you have to call to apply, thanks in advance!

Similar question regarding Smith Barney Premier Pass card - does anybody know if one needs to be a Smith Barney client to get this card? I believe if one has either a Smith Barney or a Chairman card, they can redeem fixed flights at 3 cents value (until 28 Feb 09 of course). TIA.

As of March 1, 2009, the FIXED FLIGHT OPTION WILL BE GONE FOREVER !!!
or unless CITI starts rolling in money and then they might bring it back...but that would a miracle on some sorts for CITI to be rolling in money.
You have to call to apply because it creates exclusivity somehow. They say that you must a MILLION in assets not net worth. Some people have been asked to prove this number on FT. I have never been asked, but that is probably due to my yearly spend.
So, call and see what they say. I got upgraded from Premier Pass to Chairman in Oct 2004 and been pretty satisfied till Jan 2009 when they decided to devalue the TYP program to "UTTER AND WORTHLESS CRAP" status.

Thanks for the info. Did you mean to say you were given an offer to upgrade your existing Premier Pass card to a Chairman Card? Was it given by regular customer service or you got it in mail? It will be nice if you can provide some more details. TIA.
