Sixt - Sixt additional (post rental) charges

Just got a post rental 'extras' bill for Winter tyres on a Swiss rental. Not made clear at time of booking in UK, and not an extra as I understand they a legal requirement at this time of year in CH. Sixt UK implied several folk had already complained about this. Anybody else with similar experience?

No, but it happens from time to time. It is similar to CDW insurance. Even if you tell them that it is covered by your CC they sometimes try to bill it. Check your reservation and if there is no fee for winter tyres on it and you haven't been told that you have to pay this fee at the station I would file a complaint.

I have about 70 SIXT rentals here in Germany and it happens from time to time, that they charge winter tires, though you didn´t request them.
Just call the hotline and they will remove it from your invoice.
