I got 35,000 miles in the NW Miles to Go spring promo and ~3000 miles in the Delta Sightseer promo.

Actually, I would imagine if you got caught, they could probably remove all the miles from your account. But since I rarely fly with those airlines, I figure I'm no worse off.

It has been discussed on other threads. If you purchase $1.01 you will get credit for 2 miles. So whenever you fill your tank always go over by a penny;)

Some retailers do not offer miles for certain products and services such as gift certificates. Also, taxes and shipping fees are not eligible for miles. You can get specific details on the information page for each retailer on the SkymilesShopping.com website. So, it depends on whether the specific retailer (Sephora) will give points for gift cards. Follow the instructions above to find out.

It may have just been lucky timing but my standard miles from the purchase showed up and I haven't even received what I ordered yet. ^ (Edit: I purchased from Drs Smith & Foster - pet supplies)

It depends tremendously on the merchant. While some people have posted "within a week", be aware that some merchants who ship returnable goods wait a month or two to see if you're going to return the goods (within the allowable window) before starting the miles-giving process.

It's free when the downtown Seattle REI is a 10-minute walk from my office. I will gladly take 20 minutes of lunchtime exercise over paying $7 to have a tube of lip balm shipped to my home.

to overhead to pick up at the store.

I LOVE it! I registered today. I looked at the list of stores available and had a mild heart attack - Sephora, Bliss, Boden, Sahalie, Backcountry.com, Zappos, iTunes, etc. I wish I had seen this earlier. I spent a boatload of money on Backcountry this winter for new ski stuff that could have garnered a couple thousand miles. At least now I'll know to sign in with SM Shopping first.

I have money in my account from a gift certificate, so I'm not sure if there is any way to charge my credit card for the purchase unless I first spend all of the money from the gift certificate first (~$35). At least I think that's how itunes works...

I'm not sure if the credit will hurt your credit, but I don't believe it will.

Waiting for the miles to post requires some patience... My iTunes purchase on 2/8 posted on 2/20. The bonus miles have not posted yet.

People keep wondering about the bonus miles. As already posted in this thread a couple of times, as well as in the FAQ of the offer, you have to allow 6 to 8 weeks for them to post.

Somehow, it knows. I've used it a couple of times already, go buy things from sites I normally use. I did nothing different to my browser, and I got my miles within a few days of the purchases. Pretty darn sweet.
I also have a similar shopping service through my former employer. It worked the same way - click on the link the website gives and I'm directed to that store, and I get my discounts at checkout.

I would think it's unlikely you can get the bonus miles without first getting the base miles that should trigger the bonus. SkyMiles Shopping indicates it may take up to 45 days for the purchase miles to post. If your purchase was more than 45 days ago, why don't you got to their FAQ page and make an online inquiry? That should be step #1 in an effort to get all the miles to which you are entitled. I would mention the bonus miles as well.

I've had reasonably good luck getting the airline malls to post my missing miles, although sometimes it can a take a while to get them to post.
