As a part of my award itinerary in September, I currently have PEK-ICN on KE #854, arriving at 12:05 AM.
Can anyone tell me if the KAL bus operate past midnight?
Thanks in advance!
The airport's web site has this info. (http://www.airport.kr/iiacms/pageWork.iia?_scode=C1204030300&fake=1233511909552)
The answer is yes (dunno if they're KAL buses, so maybe no).

If the OP doesn´t have a hote booked yet, one option would be to stay the night near the airport and go to downtown the next morning.
Incheon Airport Town offers lower cost accomodation in addition to the Hyatt, Best Western and other hotels next to the ICN terminal. There is also 24h dining and wining available within the Airport Town.

I would head raight downtown as most of the day and night it takes forever with all the traffic and this is about the best time to go
Agree with bizboy, at that time of night, traffic is non-existent.
However - if I have a morning flight out, I try to check into Incheon hotel night before. Saves at least 2 hrs - no worries about traffic, getting there 'early', etc. Shuttle bus ride is 2 minutes, maybe 5 minute wait for shuttle bus.

.
Trafic is not that bad if you head to the city sometime after 8:30am. Have had some recent smooth rides from ICN to the Namsan area around 9am:ish.

Last summer the KAL bus did not operate past either 10:40 or 11:40 pm --I forget which. There is another bus which operates, but I didn't figure that one out. My hotel had a bus that I could reserve to pick me up at a great cost, but less than a cab. We stayed at the airport Best Western and it was fine.
