What do I do if the room I booked is downgraded and I only realise once I've left the property?
I stayed at the Berlin Park Inn, AlexanderPlatz in January and intentionally booked a "Business Friendly" room. I requested early check-in by sending an email to the propery before my arrival and included my GPP number (Gold Status).
On arriving and seeing the room I thought it looked reasonably presentable but didn't seem particularly business friendly, certainly lacking in facilities (and some things like the TV didn't work), not a particularly high floor and the room wasn't exactly large. In too much of a hurry to enquire at the time, I headed off into the city.
Today I've double checked the ParkInn website for this property and it states business friendly rooms have "Complete window front in two directions". I definately only had one window so I'm now pretty sure the room was standard room.
I feel like sending an email to the property but I'm not really sure if it will actually result in anything. Should I be expecting a refund of the difference in cost between the standard room and the room I booked and paid for?
I did book through a third party website (WWTE) so perhaps I should contact them?
