Starwood Preferred Guest - PrePay Amex To Gt Points Now?

My SPG Amex card just posted points last week (1/26). Does anyone know if I prepay my current outstanding charges will SPG credit my SPG account before next month's Amex close date (2/26)?

No. Amex credits the points over to SPG on your statement closing date; there's no way to have them posted before. If you need points now, you'll have to buy the points.

No. Only after closing date as paytonc mentioned.

Alternatively, ask for a "loan" of points from SPG, which you can pay back once your points post. It worked for me once.

Since they will let you change your billing date something I've thought about doing in the past is calling and asking to change the date so I'll get the points sooner. However, I'm not sure if that will work since I've never followed through and tried it.
