We are flying this route next week. Any hints and tips about either check in at BGI or the 2 hour transit through POS?I've never flown this precise route, but I've been to all three airports you mention.

BGI: I suggest you arrive at least two hours prior to your flight. BW usually has a 737 on this route so the check-in queue may take a while. Outbound immigration and security screening are both fairly efficient at BGI. There are duty free shops and shops for sandwiches and snacks between security and the gates.

POS: my guess is that you will need to clear immigration and customs, then look for the domestic section of the airport (turn right after leaving customs). POS has the slowest immigration process in the region! I hope you are arriving in the morning or afternoon and not in the evening. There are two lengthy forms to fill out. It's happened to me that there were no forms available on the flight and there were none to be found in the arrivals hall either. There never seems to be anyone responsible for marshalling the travellers or controlling the immigration lines in the immigration hall. Duty free shops are found between immigration and customs. You can purchase duty free upon arrical in POS, although you'd need to place any bottles in checked luggage before departing for TAB.

TAB: a small airport, bigger than SLU or SVD, but much smaller than BGI or ANU. Arrival process should be simple for a domestic flight.

Enjoy your trip.

very belated follow up on this.

BGI-POS flight was on a half empty Dash-8 so check in was a breeze. Decent coffee shop airside at BGI with bread, fruit salad etc.

POS immigration was easy but the transit was exceptionally dull. Not much to do but hang around in the terminal area. Going through security on the domestic side is best left until the last minute as there is nothing other than chairs.

Arrival at TAB was much easier than departing on BA.
